ZeroTwentyFifty is a Commerical Open Source Software (COSS) company and consultancy building solutions for the exchange of product carbon footprints.

We support the PACT Network and PACT Methodology with two core Open Source solutions:

  • ZeroTwentyFifty (ZTF): A PACT Conformant Product Carbon Footprint exchange platform with APIs, tests and a database layer.
  • pact_methodology: A python implementation of the WBCSD PACT Methodology, enabling organisations to integrate PACT formatted Product Carbon Footprints into software.

ZeroTwentyFifty believes that the Open Source community will be of outsized importance in the race towards Net Zero and we support Open Source solutions to minimise barriers to entry for the standardised calculation and exchange of product-level carbon accounting data via PACT-conformant Product Carbon Footprints.

Reaching this goal would enable real, dedicated time to the weekly progress of the pact_methodology library. This would take the form of always being current with the stable version, with this realistically being present in development and testing of the pre-release and draft versions of major releases, an increasing number of dedicated days, issue triage, consistent release cadence and a more proactive approach to PACT Technical Specification community engagement from ZeroTwentyFifty.
