Every single time I try to upload a QR code, it fails to read it

This is in the Android app. The exact error message is Error reading QR code from image. Please try again. For the images I tried, the QR code takes up almost the whole picture, and is in focus. I tried both letting SN link to the camera app, and using the camera app directly, uploading the picture afterwards.
