What is the definition of deployments?

Deployments are described simply as "camera trap placements". This is causes confusion. In a discussion, it was explained to us as "the time from when you last touched the camera (i.e. to change the SD card) until it stops running or is touched again".

It would help to clearly specify this as a definition.
