Time based traffic shaping principals

Is it possible that sqm could be set up to to time based traffic shaping?

A usage case is that I could restrict an interface when a backup is being sent over the internet, or to limit children from using streaming sites during homework hours.

Yes I know I can set up a cron job but I'm thing more with integration into ubus with luci under openwrt enabling a simpler config and setup.

I think such a feature is out of scope for sqm-scripts itself; but you could have your cron script update the sqm uci config and use the setup scripts that way?
