Problem Statement

Currently, the plugin has a functionality, where in, we can make use of the pipe symbol ( | ) to separate the tasks properties (metadata) separate from the task title. This functionality might not be always useful or eye appealing when it comes to writing the task in the notes.

For example, in the upcoming releases various other features will be integrated in the plugin and this will require to add different kind of metadata to the task. This might become very cumbersome to write in the same line of the task and can be very distracting. Even so many emojis, if we are using Tasks plugin.

Solution

After implementing the following feature : #110

  • An additional setting can be added to enable or disable the visibility of the metadata which is added through the Edit Task popup.
