As it currently is, increasing any value in the RGB list over 5 is way too bright. I think that this is mostly a fault of RGB in general not having a darkness, so I suggest that there might rather be a hue-saturation-brightness instead. Having brightness and darkness would aid a lot in picking a good menu color.

Update: Maybe it'd just be better to tack on some sort of "darkness" value into the RGB for actual implementation
