Release version

I've been following this project for a while because the WPF MediaElement is notoriously unstable and buggy. So far, however, I have been somewhat dissatisfied with the performance. The current beta version seems much improved and has really convinced me. However, it is still a beta version. Hence the following questions:

Is there a timetable for when the beta status will be exited and a “release” will be published? What are the current obstacles? Are there any known issues?
