airlocks cannot be pried shut

i can pry them open but not shut.
the code indicates that they should be pryable shut, but someone broke it at some point.
also the code is absolute asscancer like jesus christ why is everything behind 3 event calls in such a way where passing args is next to impossible?
someone else code it.
