Use of files to simulate bad code

Good day,

I am studying computer science in Germany and I want to use this project for educational uses to understand more about cyber security. Thus far I have been able to run the Swat_main.py without issues, now I want to simulate cyber attacks using the following files:

generate_abnormal_trace.py
generate_mutation.py
mutation_operator.py
new_generate_abnormal_trace.py

However they do not seem to work because of missing PLC files.
Do I need to pay attention to something else I've been missing or are these files not meant to work?
