Hi,
I'd like to use OsmApp over openstreetmap.org because of the better search functionality. However, my usual way to add search providers is missing.

This is how it works on osm.org or for example here in the Github search: Right click into the search field -> Add a keyword for this search.

I think it would make sense to add this for osmapp as well. Let me know what you think. I don't know by heart what is triggering this Firefox behavior but it shouldn't be too hard to find out.

Thanks!

Hi, thank you for the idea, here are some thoughts about it:

First of, I would also love that, we first need to have the search term in the url, currently it is fully internally in state and not in the url (related issue: #119 ). Once that is implemented we can open osmapp with a search term prefilled, which is needed for this aswell as bangs in duckduckgo.

So we'll fix it but I really can't say when

I'm subscribed to give it another try when this is done :)

Another search related issue I just noticed: When I type into the search field and immediately press enter (i.e. there is nor result list yet) nothing happens. I'd expect that to got to the first result of the list. 😉

And I was happy to discover that there there is a shortcut (Ctrl + /) to select the search field 👍
