Nox

Nox is a collection of dark mode themes with different syntax highlighting schemes.

The theme is designed to:

  • be easy on the eyes thus reducing the eye strain
  • give semantic meaning to theme's colors

Nox comes in 8 versions, 4 are dark and 4 are amoled

The font used in screenshots is called Cascadia Code

Installation

  • Nox can be installed by clicking on Ctrl + Shift + X on Windows or ⇧ + ⌘ + X on Mac and then searching for "Nox".
  • Alternatively, go to VS Marketplace and click on the install button.
  • When installation completes, select Nox as your color theme (Preferences → Workbench: Color Theme → Nox Theme)

Override this theme

To override this (or any other) theme in your personal config file, please follow the guide in the color theme documentation. This is handy for small tweaks to the theme without having to fork and maintain your own theme.

Credits

This theme was inspired by the themes VS Dark, Noctis, C/C++ themes, and many others.

Enjoy!
