This is just a small update with some minor improvements.

  • The device screen now remains turned on during recording to make longer recordings more comfortable.
  • If you have activated backups via Google Drive, all settings are backed up from time to time so that you can continue dictating directly on a new device.
  • Bugfix: The Enter button now sends text in URL bars in browsers.

This is just a small update. In the settings, you can now select multiple input languages. If you then press and hold the switch-button while using Dictate, you can switch to one of these input languages faster. 💪

  • If you want a rewording prompt to print an exact string, you can simply surround this text with [ and ] and exactly this string will be printed. ✍️
  • If you swipe over the space button, you can move the cursor to a specific position in the text. 📍
  • Some design changes and bug fixes have been made. ✨

This update brings some cool new features:

  • You can now change a setting to enable a resend button. This button will send the previous recorded file, or an aborted file if something happened during the last recording. 🔄
  • You can now change the typing animation speed in the settings. This animation now also works for rewording. 💪
  • In the settings, you can now see the audio cache size and clear it. 🧹
  • Some design changes and bug fixes have been made. ✨

This update brings some cool new features:

  • You can now record new rewording prompts instantly. Just click on the small microphone icon in the top bar, to start the recording. ChatGPT will use your spoken prompt to edit your selected text. 🎤
  • If you press and hold the recording button, you can select an audio or video file up to 25 MB and Dictate will send this file for transcription. 📄
  • In the settings, it is now easier to choose a style prompt for Whisper. For most of you, the default value "Use punctuation and capitalization" should work fine. ⚙️
  • Some design changes and bug fixes have been made. ✨
