Admin Record Validation

This page contains 2 panels:

• Configuration
• Visualization

In the Configuration panel, a list of supported application profiles is shown.

Each time that a metadata record is imported to Comète, the system validates if it is compliant to the checked application profiles of this page. If no application profiles are checked, no validation is performed.

When a metadata record passes the test, it is marked as valid. If it does not pass the test, it is marked as invalid and an error report is produced and stored.

If the values of the chosen application profiles are modified, the change will be taken into account only when ulterior metadata records will be imported into the system. If the administrator wants to update the validation status of the records that are already in the system, he must use the Reset the metamodel function found in the Maintenance page.

The Visualization page shows the results of the validation process:

The screen is divided in 4 sections:

• List of resources and validation results
• Visualization options
• XML metadata record
• Validation report

The number of columns varies according to the checked application profiles of the Configuration page. When a metadata record is valid, a green check is shown. When it is invalid, a red cross is shown. When the metadata record has not been validated, a question mark is shown. For application profiles that do not apply to the metadata record, a N/A mark is shown.

The visualization options allow the administrator to see the results of either all the checked application profiles or only one application profile in particular. If the view is restricted to only one application profile, it's also possible to view only the resources that are marked as invalid for that profile.
