Just so that we are clear: Sigma2 will not issue us non-personal accounts. This most likely will have to be set up with cathrines saga acct and use her ssh credentials.

Do you mind if I approach them and just see if I can change their mind or meet us half-way, somehow?

No point really. They need individual people to be the ones having accounts because they are then legally responsible for their actions on saga. That way Sigma2 have their backs clear too. So no. No point in approaching them regarding non-personal accounts.

how this will be done:

  1. count tar files to be uploaded
  2. fork N process for each calculated tar file on machine
  3. upload a tar per process
