we should probably close this.. starting with 1.0.0 workzeug deprecated support for python 3.7 there are workarounds but I think the real solution would be upgrading the core python version |
Oh, that's good info. 😄 Closing this sounds like a bad idea though, as it's for a security related problem. Ideally, we'll have zero security related problems in the repo. As as aside, I've been building Redash using Python 3.8.10 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and it's going ok. We need to update the base OS in the Redash docker builds anyway, so matching that might be the reasonable move. |
Installing this dependency can install the dependencies correctly, but there are many changes to the dependency versions. I'm not sure which areas will be affected. Interestingly, this dependency can be installed successfully in both Python 3.11.2 and Python 3.10.0 versions.

@Avey777 Interesting. Would you be ok to update this PR with those newer dependency versions, so we can run it through the test suite and see what happens? |
I can try, but I cannot guarantee that I have the time or ability to solve these problems. |
@Avey777 Yeah, that's the same problem I have. Most of my time is focused on another project for the next few weeks, as that one is higher priority for now. Once that one's done, then I can look at this one with a bit more focus. 😄 |
