Getting Started
Installing Whitehole might help if you want to use it, go to the releases page and download either the latest Release or the Auto Build. Be sure to download the Whitehole.zip
file!
Once Whitehole has been downloaded, Extract the zip and find the file called Whitehole.jar
and open it. You may get a prompt asking what program should Windows use to open the .jar file, select Java and press Ok
.
Whitehole requires an Object Database file to view simpler Object Names and its Object Arguments. The Object Database can be found and/or downloaded here, however here is a quick download link.
Obviously, you will need the Game Files to edit the game, weather it be SMG1 or SMG2. The way to get these files are with a real game disc, a Wii with Homebrew, and CleanRip to dump the game, and Dolphin Emulator to extract the files from the ISO. Ideally, you would make a backup of your game files before editing anything with Whitehole.
In Whitehole, click Select game folder
and navigate to [your game file location] > DATA > files
and press open. You should now see a list of Galaxy Names on the main screen.
Now that you have Whitehole setup and ready for use, you can check out the Editing Galaxies if you'd like.
