Monte Carlo event generators have been essential in the design of high energy physics experiments and predicting new phenomena. With DUNE being realised relatively soon, simulating neutrino events has become more important than ever. My Masters project was focussed on developing a Monte Carlo event generator in python by using object oriented methodologies, with the aim to simulate particle collisions using the helicity amplitude method for matrix element calculations. As part of my project, I compared the helicity amplitude method to analytical methods based on completeness relations and evaluated computational efficiency and accuracy.
