About Gateways Hotspot page
See my Hotspot in console
Previously in the helium legacy console, there was a Hotspot page where it was possible to see the status and location of gateways processing you device data.
This feature dos not exist in Chirpstack, there is a Gateway menu but it can't be used for Helium network and the accounts are not authorized to add entries into this page.
If you have a dedicated instance and you are admin, you can add Helium Hotspots into this page based on the hotspots devEUI (you see them in the gateway-bridge logs).
The reason why we can't see the gateways is that from this view you can access the whole data traffic associated to that gateway.
If you need to manage information about your gateways / hotspots, you need to make this on your application backend.
Add my LoRaWAN Gateway to helium
Helium is a public network and we don't want to have additional private gateways managed in the middle of this, if you want to join your personal LoRaWAN gateway or your LoRaWAN gateway fleet into the network, you need to make them join Helium. This is simple, there are two way for it:
- North face : Do it yourself
- Delegate it : I propose service for this
