I was not able to reproduce this problem, seems to be a problem with infure (if infura is down or metamask is not working as we expected, the application can interact with the inyected provider)
Can you check @elena-zh if this still happens to you ? please try to add more information if is possible

The issue is still reproducible for me. See the video

In the video I opened the app in FireFox, however, I was able to reproduce it in Chrome.

Some details: make sure, that another browser, where you perform the test, windows are not opened in your PC.
The issue is reproducible when only one browser window with only one tab in it is opened.

I was not able to reproduce this, I moved this to the icebox

When this empty screen appears, is related to the provider injected in the web browser by metamsk, and probably the bridge is not working properly (maybe infura is down, or the DNS is not working as we expected). Having said that, we may not be able to solve it, unless more information appears
