Operation guide for force ramp

Robert Walder edited this page Jul 26, 2017 · 1 revision

On this page, we will describe general operations of the force ramp program. This program engages a force ramp using the CTFC functionality on the ARC2 controller .

Overview of the how the force ramp program works

The force ramp program will do a force ramp by using the CTFC on the ARC2 controller. Important note: If another program is using the force ramp, then it will automatically start and stop the force ramp program.

  1. Setup the force ramp program with your desired parameters.
  2. Click the Single force button to execute a force ramp.
  3. The callback will execute when the force ramp program is finished.

Determining parameters for the force ramp application

Parameters in the "Force Ramp Settings" here are the same as the asylum master panel. The Molecule Trigger Settings engage a trigger system that will stop the ramp if a certain amount of force is applied onto the cantilever by a molecule. Checking the Molecule Trigger? will engage this system. I recommend using the Filtered Trigger Channel if you use a molecule trigger.
