I've been working on Knowledge Management systems and techniques for over a decade. I've always felt that they were way too useful to leave as a niche technology. I also felt that the thing that keeps people from using it more is the steepness of the learning curve, and the tooling that goes with it. knowledge graphs are gaining increasing adoption in many different industries, but that adoption could go much faster if the technologies were as easy to work with as any other code.
So, I recently started work on a new programming language called "Fifth" that aims to transparently embed knowledge graphs into .NET in a way that is easy for those who are unfamiliar with the technologies to adopt. Knowledge graphs should be first class citizens in the language. And Fifth will deliver that.
